I originally became interested in finance and investment banking after getting involved in clubs here at IU. M&A was one of the first topics I learned about after attending different lectures during my freshman year, but I wasn't crazy about it and didn't see myself pursuing it as a career. It wasn't until the end of my second semester during freshman year where I learned about the restructuring arm of boutique investment banks. Instead of dealing with healthy companies looking to grow, the goal was instead saving companies from a bad situation.
The ground-up approach of restructuring was something I quickly became passionate about and decided I wanted to pursue as a career path. Every year, restructuring becomes more popular among students recruiting for investment banking, and as someone who is very passionate about the subject, my goal is to help educate and guide students looking to learn more about the field to the best of my ability.
