"This little maneuver's gonna cost us 51 years!"

- 2014, Interstellar

While my interest in banking started out with an interested for M&A, that interest in M&A always stemmed for an enjoyment of the technical concepts behind it. I found myself always wanting to learn, and the idea of an industry coverage group essentially barred me from having the opportunity to learn of many company's business models.

After a case competition during my freshman year, I took my financial modeling to a new level, and was introduced to a new mentor, who recommended I looked into restructuring, given my passion for modeling. I spent the summer exploring what the industry was all about and I came back to IU with a newfound interest in restructuring.

With my motivation to do anything being based on learning all the time, I reasoned that restructuring was the best position in IB to always learn, but also apply my technical passions. The idea of working with a company's capital structure always enticed me, let alone the opportunity to evaluate the game theory behind every creditor's goals in a restructuring process across the capital structure. Everything tied together: from the creativity in solutions, to the unique scenarios, and the number-oriented career.

Outside of IB and restructuring, I enjoy practicing photography and taekwondo.
